How I Eliminated my Mom Stress
I believed the lie for too many years! Motherhood will just always feel stressful.
The lie that you can’t have little babies and toddlers and still have a clean easy to manage home.
The lie that we are all just drowning in motherhood.
I had a baby on my hip and a toddler at my feet and was trying to put away towels when I looked around my home and for the first time realized it was my HOME that was causing me my extreme mom stress.
I so desperately wanted to enjoy my kids more. I was so tired of the chaos, the overwhelm, the “mom brain”, feeling like I was getting nothing done in my day…

Princeton did a study that showed the chaos of your environment (home) directly relates to you stress levels🤯
And man did I feel that as a busy mom of lot of kids (ok, just 4!).
I kept trying different things and it felt like nothing was helping.
I tried ruthless decluttering, I even did a decluttering challenge. Only to see that the clutter came immediately back just a few short weeks / month later.
I tried buying all of the cute decor baskets, but the toys always found themselves on the ground and NOT in the baskets.
Then I had tried creating huge long to-do lists, but they left me feeling even more stressed and even more of a failure when I didn’t get cross off the items on the list.
Don’t get me wrong, decluttering, organizing, and list making are all so helpful and are great places to start in simplifying your home.
But those things didn’t teach me HOW to maintain a simplified home day on and day out.
How to manage the endless laundry, cleaning, meals, etc… that being a mom requires of us daily!!
So What Worked?
Here’s what ACTUALLY WORKED:
I added effective ROUTINES to my day to get my home on autopilot.
This ONE change was game changing💃
Why ROUTINES?
Routines are easier for our brain. They become autopilot, things we naturally know to do once you create the habits.
I started making small changes to my home, creating easy to-do routines and I’ve been SHOCKED how I’ve been able to eliminate my mom stress and get my home on autopilot, where it only takes me minutes to clean / manage each day.
This is important as a busy mom because you will use less brain energy and your tasks will naturally get done with minimal effort.
Any time we can make motherhood feel easier, get more done in less time it is a BIG win!
And the results have been so much more than I originally thought they would be🎉
What did I learn from this journey?
Decluttering & organizing your home were only just bandaids and a SMALL portion, but were not fixing the ROOT issue.
Adding daily routines, anchors & productivity tools gave me the needed tools to solve the root issue.🔥🤯
